Integration as it should be – Tadah showed us how it's done

Integration of work, family, and personal purpose is more than just a buzzword. For many parents, it’s a daily reality: juggling deadlines, daycare pickups, creative projects, and grocery runs. And sometimes it feels like you have to choose. But Tadah proved that you don’t.

Right in the heart of Zurich, Tadah brought together what is often kept separate: focused work and professional childcare – all under one thoughtfully designed roof. A place where integration wasn’t just a nice idea, but actually built into the space.

I first heard about Tadah during my first pregnancy – in a spontaneous conversation at a party with co-founder Julia. Later, after my daughter was born, I found myself working there – laptop open, ideas flowing, and my baby happily downstairs in the Kids Space.

Tadah was open, welcoming, uncomplicated – a place that trusted parents and embraced children. It was completely normal for mothers to go downstairs to breastfeed or quickly check in on their little ones. The vibe? Professional but relaxed. Purposeful, never pushy. You could feel it: this place was built with care and conviction.

No surprise, then, that Tadah was awarded the Swiss Design Award and reached over 15,000 people on social media. With its fresh, humorous campaigns and clear messaging, Tadah managed to reframe the conversation around modern parenthood and meaningful work – showing that there’s room for both, without compromise.

At the farewell party last weekend, the founders said: “Tadah helped shift something in Switzerland.” I couldn’t agree more. They showed us that meaningful work and a happy family life aren’t mutually exclusive – they actually reinforce each other. That integration isn’t just a personal challenge, but a question of culture, leadership, and how we shape our workplaces and societies.

Yes, Tadah is closing its doors. But the idea behind it lives on. In our attitudes, in our ambitions, in our wish for more spaces like this one. Tadah wasn’t the end – it was a beginning.

Thank you for the courage, for trying something new, for doing it differently. We’ll keep going.
