It was so nice to meet Samantha at our Upendo specialist centre - a source of inspiration for our work as a team of psychotherapists! Samantha told us how she came up with the idea for Aiana, the main character of her children's book. Aiana is a little girl who is terrified of bad weather. One day, Aiana turns to Mrs Luck (who is a psychotherapist) who helps her find solutions. An excellent story to introduce children to the figure of the psychotherapist in a light and funny way! Aiana is Samantha's family project - she developed the story and pictures with the help of their children! Our team had a lot of fun with Samantha, who described her work as a psychotherapist for children using creative techniques in a very spontaneous and friendly approach. During this team training we also analysed the case of a child who had the same fear as Aiana. Thank you very much, Samantha, for this very valuable exchange of ideas! We are very pleased with this first team training event.
